Mrs. Margot "Omi" Davis of Columbus, GA passed Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain John Routzahn officiating. A private interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Davis was born April 17, 1925 in Berlin, Germany daughter of the late Georg and Margarethe Fischbach Gunther. She was a retired civil servant of the Directorate of Education Services in Ft. Benning. She enjoyed the beach, traveling and sight seeing, playing bridge with her friends, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Leland Davis of Columbus, GA, daughters, Loraine and husband, Jim Lester of Columbus, GA and Arleen and husband, David Klevan of Germantown, TN, sister, Renate Brenk of Berlin, Germany, four granddaughters, Jessica and Jennafer Lester of Columbus, GA, Andrea and husband, Chad Hilderbrand of Franklin, TN and Natalie Klevan of Nashville, TN, sisters-in-law, Jeanette McClure of Marietta, GA, Oleeta and husband, JT Witherow of Ellijay, GA and Juanita and husband, Hugh Jackson of Jonesboro, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
