Mary Elizabeth Holmes

Mary Elizabeth Holmes (A.K.A. Betty/Beejay), age 73, passed peacefully on March 25th, 2026, at her home in Panama City Beach, FL.

As a loving mother, sister, and daughter, she was a determined and passionate woman who spent her life wanting to help people. From having a fulfilling career as a practice administrator to facing the challenges of her life head-on while raising her sons, she led a life worth living.

Mary loved to sing. Having spent time in local music scenes and singing at church, music was not only an important part of her life, but a part of who she was. With country and southern rock being favorites of hers, it was no surprise that there was a time in her life where she cared for animals on her farm. From bulls named Sambo to goats, chickens, and rabbits, the farm life was never dull.

She is survived by her sons, Jayson Holmes, Jeremy Holmes; her brother Steve Snell; her sister Rebecca Oneil; and two grandchildren.

She will always be loved and remember but family, colleagues, and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Park Hill Cemetery at 10am on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
