Mary Kristin “Kris” Summerall, 45, passed away on September 30, 2025, in Hamilton, Georgia leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Kris was born on September 23, 1980 in Columbus, Georgia. She was a devoted “dog mom” to her three beloved companions—Stitch, Lilo, and Nani—who were her pride and joy.
She adored her family, especially her nieces and nephews, who will forever remember her as the aunt who always had time for them, celebrated every milestone, and spoiled them with love. She had a way of making everyone feel like the most important person in the world. She was known for making birthday treats for her friends and coworkers and her Christmas treats became the highlight of every holiday season.
An employee of Harris County since 2009, Kristin served the community through her work with the county, where her compassion, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile made a difference in countless lives. She had a special way of making everyone feel seen and cared for, whether they were coworkers, friends, or those who came to her for help.
A lover of all things Disney, and especially Stitch, Kris found joy and wonder in every trip she took, embracing the magic and carrying that same sense of delight into everyday life. Friends and family could always count on her for a smile, a listening ear, and a thoughtful gesture that made ordinary days brighter.
She will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, her generosity, and the way she poured her heart into everything she did. Her presence made life sweeter, and her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled.
Kris is survived by her mother, Polly Summerall; siblings, Susan Proft (Greg), Brad Summerall (Kaitlin), Charles Summerall (Tangie); nieces and nephews, Stephanie (Cody), Morgan (Andrew), Manuel (Ekta), Sarah (Thomas), Alexander, Matt, Tristan (Allysa), John Thomas, Cheyenne, Wyatt, Boone, Finn; great nieces and nephews, Alvin, Elodie, Arabella, Penelope
