Mitchell Ray Norris, 70, of Columbus, Ga. died Thursday, October 3, 2019 at his residence.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, October 8, 2019 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Chaplain Randy Worrell officiating. The family will receive friends following the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Norris was born September 18, 1949 in Columbus, Ga. son of the late John Jackson Norris and Mary Kate Matthews Norris. He retired from Jordan Electrical Company and was the 1968 graduate of Jordan High School. Mr. Norris enjoyed deep sea fishing and spending time with his family in Mexico Beach, FL. He and his wife loved cooking family dinners and supporting all their activities.
Other than his parents, Mr. Norris is preceded in death by his nephew Rocky Hinson.
Survivors include his wife Linda Norris, children, Bryan Norris (Julie), Chad Norris (Kyle), Drew Norris (Jenni), brothers, Danny Norris, Steve Norris (Amy), sister, Marcia Hinson (Larry), grandchildren, Walker Norris, Lily Norris, Avery Norris, Caroline Norris and Cole Norris all of Columbus, Ga. and several nieces and nephews.
