Nellie L. Rainey Guthrey, 85, of Columbus, GA died Monday, June 24, 2019 at Orchard View Assisted Living.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Ken Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Guthrey was born September 12, 1933 in Troy, AL daughter of the late Thomas Hollis Rainey and Sarah Francis Abercrombie Rainey. She was a homemaker.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Charles Guthrey.
Survivors include her children, Sheryn Barbier of Hamilton, GA and Brenda Dodds of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Stacey Coursey of Woodberry, GA, Holly Lewis (Reggie) of Hamilton, GA, Eryn Lokker (Nathan) of Ft. Polk, LA and Joseph Dodds of Columbus, GA, great-grandchildren, Autumn Lewis of Whidbey Island, WA, Sarah Payne of Columbus, GA, Madison Lewis of San Diego, CA, Carson Payne of Hamilton, GA and Wyatt Lokker of Ft. Polk, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to your favorite charity.
