Patricia Ann Allen Golden, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, in Columbus, Georgia.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Parkhill Cemetery with Rev. Jarred Owens officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 PM Thursday, March 19, 2026 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907.
Patricia was born January 29, 1940, in Blue Ridge, Georgia to the late Robert Allen, Sr. and Betty Ruth Coleman. Patricia’s life was one marked by devotion, love, and an open heart that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. A graduate of Jordan High School on May 29, 1958, that day marked not only an academic milestone but the beginning of a beautiful lifelong partnership. On her graduation day, Patricia married Charles Edward Golden, Sr., the love of her life, with whom she shared many years of happiness until his passing. Her greatest achievement in life was the loving family she built and cherished, nurturing them with unwavering affection and dedication.
Patricia was known for her sweetest smile—a beacon of warmth that could brighten the darkest day. If you ever found yourself without a smile, she would gladly share hers with you. A devoted Christian woman, her faith guided her kindness, and her home was always a place of refuge and grace, filled with warmth and hospitality. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel truly loved and accepted, qualities that will leave a lasting imprint on all who were blessed to cross her path.
While she spent most of her life raising her beloved family in Columbus, Georgia, Patricia held a special place in her heart for Blue Ridge, Georgia, a place she lovingly called home. Her passions were as vibrant as her personality; she delighted in photography, gardening, sewing, and collecting dolls. She also enjoyed shopping and cooking, and her family fondly remembers her delicious banana pudding and cornbread, recipes made with love and care that nourished both body and soul.
Other than her parents Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Charles Edward Golden, Sr., her brothers, Kenneth, Ronnie, Larry, Bobby Allen, and son-in-law, Donnie Courvelle.
Patricia’s family—her pride and joy—included her son, Charles Edward Golden, Jr. (Kami Dykes), daughters, Gina Marie Courvelle (Kevin Cervantes), Ronda Faye Johnston (Glenn), Wanda Faye Golden. Her legacy of love extended to her many grandchildren: Amanda Fussell (Jason), Jessie Courvelle (Karen), Charles Edward Golden, III (Haleigh), Trisha McGlamery (Michael), Michael Golden, Dalton Drake (Savannah), Dakota Golden, nineteen great-grandchildren each of whom held a special place in her heart and her brother, Robert Allen (Bette).
Patricia Golden’s life was a tapestry woven with love, faith, and kindness. Her gentle spirit and generous heart made every place a little brighter, every moment a little sweeter. Though she has left this world, the memories she created, the love she shared, and the smiles she ignited will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
