Patricia A. Nobes, a beloved member of the Columbus community and a dedicated educator, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, in her hometown of Columbus, Georgia. Born on May 5, 1942, Patricia spent many fulfilling years making a significant impact in the lives of countless students as the former Principal of St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School. Her commitment to educational excellence extended beyond her role as principal; she actively worked on grants to fund educational initiatives for St. Anne, showcasing her passion for facilitating quality education.
Residing in Columbus since 1975, Patricia established a warm and inviting home where family values flourished. She cherished her summers in Troy, New York, where the surroundings offered her joy and a treasured retreat with her family. Patricia's love for family and her dedication to her career left an indelible mark, enriching the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her son, Charles William Nobes (Angela), and her cherished grandchildren, Reniker E. Nobes and Ellis A. Nobes, all of Columbus, Georgia. Patricia also leaves behind her loving sisters, Alice M. Hensley of Ardmore, Alabama, and Shirley Felter (Kenneth) of Troy, New York, along with her sister-in-law, Kathy Carey of Troy, New York.
Patricia was predeceased by her devoted husband, Charles Jay Nobes, as well as her brother, William Carey, and her sister, Mary Lou Carey.
