Paul William Beyer, 63, of Columbus, GA died Monday, September 14, 2015 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 17, 2015 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Douglas officiating. Interment will be at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, GA. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Beyer was born May 8, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY son of the late Elmore and Edith Glynn Beyer. He served 20 years in the United States Marine Corps. Paul worked as a programmer analyst for TSYS and was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. He was a loving grandfather who cherished spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, Patrick and Ji Hong Fang Beyer of Shenzhen, China, Raina and Steve Earls of Midland, GA, Michael and Lisa Beyer of Warm Springs, GA, and Elizabeth and Kenny Gibson of Columbus, GA, their mother, Linda Beyer of Columbus, GA, siblings, Mary and Robert Forster of Raleigh, NC, Robert and Donna Beyer, Elizabeth Beyer all of Lindenhurst, NY and Edward and Kathy Beyer of Tempe, AZ, and 13 grandchildren, Emma, Zoe, Caleigh, Andy, Maggie, Lola, Charlotte, Jack, Owen, Molly, Hannah, Sarah and Maddie Wallace.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Andrews Presbyterian Church 4980 Hancock Rd. Midland, GA 31820.
