Pauline Skidmore Price, Ph.D., 86, of Fortson, GA went to be with our Lord on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at 4:00 PM, at Trinity Episcopal Church 1130 1st Ave. Columbus, GA 31901.
Born in Maud, Oklahoma, on February 21, 1930, she spent her formative years in Texas and Oklahoma, with college degrees from North Texas State, The University of Texas, and The University of Southern Mississippi. She married William Armstrong Price III, in August of 1962, in Houston, Texas. She lived in LaMarque, Texas, Clinton, Mississippi, Lago Vista, Texas, and, upon her husband's death, in Fortson, Georgia. Her career included working for Humble Oil in the 1950s, and as a college instructor and administrator until her retirement in 1996. She was active in her church as a Daughter of the King at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Lago Vista, Texas, and Trinity Episcopal Church in Columbus, Georgia. She was also a member of the Glory Bound Singers, an acapela group within the Daughters of the King in Texas.
Her greatest joy in retirement was tending to her garden, volunteering, and spending time with family.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, William Armstrong Price, on January 21, 1996.
She is survived by her son, Harlan Armstrong Price, her daughter-in-law, Michelle McLaurin Price, her granddaughter, Chloey Elise Price of Fortson, Georgia, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
