Peggy Ann Elledge passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 97. She was born on June 9, 1929, and lived a long life marked by hard work, devotion to family, and a steady belief in doing what was right.
Peggy grew up working on her parents’ farm, where she became known as a hard worker from an early age. She helped with the daily demands of farm life, including milking cows and picking cotton, and did whatever else would help her parents. Alongside those responsibilities, she also helped raise her four siblings. The strength, dependability, and care she showed in those early years remained part of who she was throughout her life.
She enjoyed tending to her flowers and loved working outdoors. Those simple pleasures reflected her nature well. Peggy was known as someone who believed in doing what was right, and she was remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother. Her family will carry with them the example she set through her work ethic, her care for others, and the quiet way she lived her values each day.
One of Peggy’s proudest blessings was her marriage of 65 years to her husband, Charles S. Elledge, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Reba Moore; her father, Paul Moore; her sisters, Pauline Randolph and Dorothy Grant; and her brother, J.R. Moore.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Vicki Pallesen, and her son, Charles Michael Elledge and Betty D. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Matthew Ryan LeComte and April, Michael Stephen Ellledge and Janet, and Charles Bryan Elledge and Tiffany. Her memory will continue through her great-grandchildren, Peyton LeComte, Noah Baird, Brittney Parker, Ashley Elledge, Lucas Popiel, Eliana Elledge, and Jayla Brantley. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Moore, and her nephew, Robbie Moore. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on September 17, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Parkhill Cemetery on Macon Road in Columbus, Georgia.
