Ramona Laurence Rodriguez

Ramona Laurence Rodriguez, 69, of Columbus, GA died February 22, 2022 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2000 Kay Circle, Columbus, GA 31907 with Father Manny officiating. A visitation will be held from from 5:00 - 7:00PM with a Rosary starting at 6:00 PM Monday, February 28, 2022 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, 31907. Interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.

Ramona Laurence Rodriguez, daughter of the late Ronald Laurence and Lioba Laurence was born November 3, 1952, at Walter Reed Army Hospital, Washington D.C. Her father was in the U.S. Army and was assigned to multiple duty stations including Germany and Ft. Benning, where Ramona attended and graduated from Kendrick High School in 1970, as part of the first graduating class.

During this time, she met her future husband, David Rodriguez, and they were later married July 31, 1971. They continued to reside in Columbus, GA where Ramona spent 45 dedicated years at Aflac. Their union was later blessed with two sons and one daughter.

Ramona was an active member of St. Anne Church where she served with the Eucharistic Ministry and on the parish council. Upon retirement, she spent her days enjoying occasional afternoon luncheons/outings with close friends, picking up old hobbies such as crocheting, binge-watching crime/mystery shows, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, David of Columbus, GA; her children: Matthew Rodriguez, Marcus (Ashley) Rodriguez, and Mary Rodriguez, all of Columbus, GA; two grandchildren: Karlie and Klaire Rodriguez; comforting family dog: Ivy; loving sisters: Raneth (A.J.) Randolph of Sacramento, CA, and Renée Laurence-Kortbawi of Columbus, GA; and numerous devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
