Randolph “RANDY” O. Buck, 76 of Columbus passed away Thursday November 27, 2025 at his residence after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. He fought valiantly and never complained. 

The family will have a private Celebration of Life to honor the man that they loved.

Randy was born May 10, 1949 in Miami, Florida to the late Arthur Eugene Buck and Elizabeth Helen McGuire Buck. He was a highly decorated US Army Colonel who retired after twenty-nine years of service as a Combat/Civil Engineer. After his military service he obtained another masters degree in education and began his 14 years as an Educator/Administrator with Muscogee County School District. During both careers he made many lifelong friends and mentored hundreds of students/soldiers with dedication and selflessness that helped them achieve their life goals. Randy was a devoted husband, Father and friend. He loved his five cats that gave him joy. He was an avid lover of nature, traveling, reading and music. He will be sorely missed but remains in our hearts always.

He is survived by the love of his life his wife, Kellie Buck of Columbus, GA, son: Will Steiner (Celia) of Lake Arrowhead, CC, daughter: Robin Buck of Columbus, GA, grandson: Austin Steiner also of Lake Arrowhead, CA and brother: John Buck (Gayle) of Sacramento, CA, several nieces and nephews. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a younger brother: Curt Buck.

His family request that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to The Parkinson Foundation, 5757 Waterford District Drive Suite 310, Miami, FL 33126.
