Raymond "Ray" Lee White

Raymond "Ray" Lee White, 90, of Columbus, GA died Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Midtown Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Bill McClusky officiating. Interment will be held at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. White was born January 22, 1926 in Hartford, AL son of the late Harmon Byrd White and Voncile Barnes Thomason. He worked as a mechanic and he enjoyed fishing, watching movies, recording movies, and playing the harmonica. He proudly served in the army during WWII with the 80th Div. 318 Reg.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lucille Guy White, his brother, Avon Thomason, and his step-son, Roy Wayne Hobbs.
Survivors include his daughters, Tina Gramling (Fred) of Hamilton, GA, Pat Holland (Rick) of Virginia Beach, VA and Connie Patrick (David) of Lowellville, OH, sister, Geniece Gaultney of Ft. Valley, GA, grandchildren, Robert (Monica), Warren, Virginia, Tammy, Timmy, Todd, Brad (Julie). Two great grandchildren, Caroline and Colin and other family members.
