Rebecca J. Rogers, 72 of Opelika formerly of Phenix City, AL died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at East Alabama Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 3:00 P.M., EST Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Lakeview Memory Gardens with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. EST at Colonial Funeral Home, 613 14th St. Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Rogers was born January 13, 1941 in Birmingham, Alabama daughter of the late Charles Kirby Easter and Mary Elizabeth Williams Easter. She was the owner of RR Tax Services. She was a master crafts woman, she loved crocheting and knitting. She was a member of Shady Woods Baptist Church.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Tim Rogers.
Survivors include her husband Bob Rogers of Opelika, AL; daughter, Cyndie Smith of Opelika, AL; son, Kenneth Rogers and wife Deanna of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Dillon, Periann, Max, Calista, Staci and Kyle; brothers, Buck Easter and wife Nancy of Salem, AL and Mike Easter and wife Diane of McKeesport, PA; sister, Penny Shackelford and husband Jeff of Lakeland, TN and several nieces and nephews.
