Rhonda Harris Morrison

On Monday, September 13, 2021, Rhonda Harris Morrison passed away at age 60 after a months-long battle with complications from COVID-19. She was in the presence of her loving family.

A service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, September 17, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Rhonda was born on May 13, 1961 in Columbus, Georgia, to Harold and Glenda (Proctor) Harris. She graduated from Kendrick High School in 1979.Rhonda married Brian Morrison in 1983, and together they had two children, Lacey and Barton.

Over the years, Rhonda was a devoted stay-at-home mom, a small business owner, and an optician at MyEyeDr (formerly American Eye Care). Rhonda had a remarkable ability to make her customers and patients feel comfortable. She radiated warmth and kindness to everyone she met.

Rhonda was a talented painter and loved to create colorful art for her family and loved ones. She was a relentless prankster, and her family and friends will miss her beautiful smile and fabulous sense of humor.

Rhonda will be deeply missed by her children, Lacey and Barton; her parents, Harold and Glenda Harris; her sisters, Angie Nicolais and Shelia Giles; her ex-husband, Brian Morrison; and countless other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the incredible team at Piedmont Regional Hospital in Columbus, GA for their excellent care of Rhonda and compassion toward her family during a difficult time.
