A dedicated professional, Ricky retired as a Service Manager at Carl Gregory in Columbus, Georgia, after a distinguished tenure. Following his retirement, he embraced a new venture by opening A Little Off The Top Lawn Care, which flourished under his guidance. Ricky’s passion for service extended beyond his career; he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need, earning the admiration and respect of all who knew him.
Ricky found joy in various hobbies and interests that reflected both his vibrant personality and love for life. He was known as a dog lover and took pride in raising his beloved Australian Shepherds. Additionally, Ricky had a deep-seated appreciation for classic and custom cars, particularly old Ford trucks and air-cooled Volkswagens. His involvement in local Volkswagen clubs in the Columbus area allowed him to connect with like-minded enthusiasts, sharing stories and experiences that enriched his life.
Outdoors, Ricky thrived, often spending time hunting for deer and turkey, delighting in the serenity that nature provided. He was also a die-hard fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, passionately supporting his team through thick and thin.
Ricky is lovingly remembered by his wife, Leigh Anne; his son, Justin; his daughter-in-law, Stephanie; and his granddaughters, Rowan and Everly. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and unwavering support for his family.
He is predeceased by his father, Charlie; his mother, Elizabeth; his aunt, Gloria; and his uncle, Howard. Their fond memories live on in the hearts of those who survive him, as they hold close the moments shared with Ricky, a truly remarkable man whose life touched many.
