MAJ (Ret.) Ronald Francis Crosby, 77, of Columbus, GA died Thursday, July 14, 2016 at his residence.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with Reverend Tim Tatum officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
MAJ. Crosby was born February 7, 1939 in Duquene, PA, son to the late Frank Steven and Anna Dmytrysczak Crosby. He was a retired Major from the U.S. Army where he received several awards and badges including National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal 3rd Award, Combat Infantry Badge, RVN Ranger Tab, RVN Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 9 SVC stars, Bronze Star Medal 3rd OLC, Bronze Star Medal 4th OLC with "V" device, Meritorious Service Medal 2nd OLC, and five overseas service bars. Mr. Crosby also attended Cornerstone Church of God, and was a loving husband and father.
Other than his parents, Mr. Crosby was preceded in death by his son, Jamie and his sister, Mariam.
Survivors include his loving wife of 29 years, Micha Crosby of Columbus, GA; children, Ronald, Leeann, Darcy, Chris, and Shaun; and siblings, Paul, Fran, and Dave; and many grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted, or those so desiring may make contributions to Columbus Hospice 7020 Moon Road Columbus, GA 31909 or to the charity of their choice.
