Ronald Albon Jaynes, affectionately known as Ron, was born on November 21, 1948, in Ft Jackson, SC. He departed this life on August 30, 2025, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of kindness that touched the hearts of many. Ron is survived by his sister, Glenda Jenss (Edward), niece Holly Jenss Martin, niece Kandy Raney.

Ron demonstrated his commitment to his country by serving in the Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Constellation aircraft carrier. His experiences during this time profoundly shaped his character and instilled in him a sense of duty and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life.

Professionally, Ron found his calling as an antique restorer with Century Antiques of Columbus, where he combined his passion for craftsmanship with a keen eye for detail. Beyond his work with antiques, he was an avid woodworker, dedicating hours to building beautiful furniture that will be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to receive his creations.

A true car enthusiast, Ron was particularly fond of classic cars, proudly owning one that reflected his appreciation for timeless design and engineering. His enthusiasm for life was evident in everything he did, from his craftsmanship to his genuine connections with those around him.

Ron was known for his kind and welcoming nature. He was dearly loved by many relatives and friends who will always remember his warm spirit and generosity. His positive energy and heartfelt interactions left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.

In addition to his extensive relationships forged throughout his lifetime, Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Glyna, father, W. A. Jaynes, and his mother, Elleen Harbuck Jaynes. He now joins them in eternal rest, leaving behind a void that will be deeply felt by his loved ones.
