Celebrating the Life of Roslynn Puanani Ipunee Kekaualua Benefield, August 30,1958– October 23,2026.
It is with heavy hearts and boundless gratitude for a life richly lived that we celebrate Roslynn, known as “Sweets” who passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026 at the age of 68.
An enchanting and luminous soul, Sweets possessed a rare, magnetic charm that lifted every room she entered. She lived life on her own terms as a true free spirit—guided by an unshakable core of down-to-earth common sense and an irresistibly quick, razor-sharp wit. She had a gift for keeping everyone laughing, never taking life too seriously, and offering wise, practical advice precisely when it was needed most. She taught those around her to love deeply, speak honestly, embrace independence, and laugh often.
Roslynn is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Wright and spouse Somar; her son, Kilani Choy and spouse Angel. Her vibrant legacy lives on by her three grandchildren, Kyle Parmer, Lily Choy, and Asher Choy; her two great-grandchildren, Leilani Parmer & Koa Parmer; her beloved partner Donnie Webb; her stepdaughter Samantha Binion and spouse Michael; and her step-grandson Bodie Binion. She is survived by her mother, Evangeline Kekaualua; her siblings, Jo-Evan Hudoba and spouse Frank; Debbie Weaverling and spouse Ron; Joe Kekaualua; numerous nieces and nephews; and grand nieces & nephews.
A celebration of Roslynn’s life will be held on October 30, 2026 at 2:00 pm at McMullen’s Funeral Home. In honor of her lively spirit and passion for her culture, the family invites guests to wear Hawaiian attire.
She brought magic, laughter, and clarity wherever she went. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
