Valley, Ga, where she played on the high school basketball team. She attended Montreat College in North Carolina. She was acting secretary to the Evangelistic Mission to Puerto Rico in its early years and went on to establish a telephone ministry-Dial-a-Message-and later to publish a series of inspirational messages she presented daily on the radio, entitled Gathered Fragments, within which she wrote: "Jesus cares for broken things--hearts, lives, families. His desire is to gather the fragments- the broken pieces-that none be lost or wasted". She was the owner of Quill Publications in Columbus, Ga and worked with her husband and her son in their business, Columbus Book Binders and Printers.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren: one daughter, Nancy Goodlett Hamner, and her sons Jason Hamner and his wife Amanda, and Ryan Hamner, her son Tom Goodlett, his wife Tanya, and their daughter, Lydia Louise; her son, Keith Goodlett, his wife Peggy, and their children, Matthew, Rebekah Fallin and her husband Jonathan, and Andrew.
McMullen Funeral Home will be handling arrangements for the Goodlett Family, who would like to express their thanks to them, and to the many friends, too numerous to list, who have visited, given of their time and energy, and have done so many special things for each one of them in the past few years.
In lieu of Flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Trinity Temple Assembly of God, 3000 12th Ave. Columbus, Ga 31904.
