Rubye Clark Halstead, 73, of Columbus, Georgia, peacefully departed this life on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Columbus Hospice House, surrounded by her cherished family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Beallwood Baptist Church, 4650 Veterans Pkwy, Columbus, GA 31904. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd, Columbus, GA 31907. Rubye was a wellspring of love, strength, and wisdom, and her legacy will forever resonate in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rubye is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, William Halstead of Columbus, GA; her beloved daughters, Paula Halstead and Pamela Miller, both of Columbus, GA; and her cherished son, Dewayne Halstead. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren: Janetta Crawford, Norra Wilcox, Lillian Miller, Penelope Miller, William Miller, and Courtney Ferguson, along with her great-granddaughter, Raelynn Mitchell. Additionally, Rubye was surrounded by many dear friends who loved her deeply.
