Rulon Thomas Stephenson

CSM (Ret.) Rulon "Bud" Thomas Stephenson, 91, of Columbus, GA died Saturday August 17, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Covenant Woods Chapel 5424 Woodruff Farm Rd. Columbus, Ga 31907. The family will receive friends immediately following the service according to McMullen Funeral Home 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
CSM (Ret.) Stephenson was born January 26, 1922 in Holden, Utah son of the late john Bartley Stephenson and Mary Edith Ashby Stephenson. He retired after 23 years of service from the United States Army as a CSM serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict. In retirement, Bud and Joyce enjoyed traveling, covering all 50 states and many pleasure cruises to a wide variety of destinations.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Joyce Galpin Stephenson.
Survivors include sons, Dr. Michael "Mike" T. Stephenson (Bonnie) of Dallas, TX. and Dr. Christopher "Chris" W. Stephenson (Karen) of Columbus, GA., four grandchildren, Shawn, Alisa, James, and John Stephenson, and six great grandchildren, Isaac Woodson, Abigail Woodson, Caleb Woodson, Ross Stephenson, Kendall Stephenson, and Ryan Thomas Stephenson.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Gentiva Hospice 2425 Williams Road Columbus, GA. 31904.
