Ruth Flowers Dean, 70 of Midland, GA died Monday, January 28, 2013 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 31, 2013 at McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan MacMinn officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA.
Mrs. Dean was born September 24, 1942 in Forrestville, MD daughter of the late Edgar Isham Flowers and Edna Smith Flowers. She retired after 30 ½ years as an operator for Bell South/AT&T.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Earl Dean.
Survivors include her son, Kenny Siedling of College Park, MD; daughters, Kathy Lipscomb (Fred) and Michele Lovett (Chris) all of Columbus, GA; brother, Robert M. Flowers of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Betty L. Shupp of Seabrook, MD; five grandchildren, Jennifer and Brittany Lipscomb, Cameryn, Cayden and Carsyn Lovett, and one great grandchild, Marissa Lipscomb; special niece, Rita Bello of Ellerslie, GA and numerous other nieces and nephews.
