Sabra P. Lisle, 64, of Columbus, Georgia, passed away on September 6, 2026. She was born on November 25, 1961, to Perry Eugene Pate Sr. and Janice D. Pate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, located at 3874 Gentian Boulevard in Columbus. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Cascade Hills Church, located at 727 54th Street in Columbus.

Sabra graduated from Hardaway High School in 1979 and later attended Chattahoochee Valley Community College, where she pursued a degree in art education. 

On January 30, 1982, Sabra married Terrell E. Lisle Sr. For more than 44 years, they built a life centered around faith, family, hard work, and an enduring love for one another. Together, they raised their children, Gene and Beth, and created a family that remained the greatest joy of Sabra’s life. 

Following college, Sabra began working for her father’s business, Security Storage and Moving. She later took on the responsibility of running the company, which she successfully led for more than 20 years. Throughout her career, she devoted herself to supporting her family and its businesses. She worked hard, faced life’s challenges with quiet strength, and continually put the needs of those she loved before her own.

Sabra had a special way of making life meaningful. She planned and saved for family trips, gave her family experiences to look forward to, and created memories that will be treasured forever. Whether it was a monumental occasion or an ordinary day, she showed up. Her presence was steady, her support was unwavering, and her family always knew they could count on her.

Her greatest role was becoming “Grammy.” She loved her grandchildren, Lillian, Deacon, Davis, Grady, and Henley, beyond measure. She was there for their births, their milestones, and the countless small moments in between. She loved them through her faith, her humor, her encouragement, her prayers, and simply by always being present. 

Sabra’s faith was the foundation of her life. She faithfully served her church by leading the children’s choir, teaching Vacation Bible School, participating in mission trips, and giving her time to numerous ministries. She did not simply speak about her faith; she lived it through the way she served others, cared for her family, and faced even the most difficult seasons of her life.

Sabra was a devoted wife, a loving mother and Grammy, a treasured daughter and sister, and a loyal friend. She raised her children to be strong, confident, and unafraid to face hard things because that was how she lived her own life. Her family will remember her for her strength, her humor, her sacrifices, her steadfast faith, and the countless ways she made them feel deeply loved.

Sabra was preceded in death by her father, Perry Eugene Pate Sr.; her father-in-law, Billy Wayne Lisle; her brothers-in-law, Gary L. Lisle and Forrest R. Parker; and her nephew, Andrew“Drew” F. Pate.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Terrell Eugene Lisle Sr.; her son, Terrell “Gene” E.Lisle Jr. and his wife, Shea; her daughter, Elizabeth Lisle Leatherwood and her husband, Brett; and her cherished grandchildren, Lillian K. Lisle, Deacon R. Leatherwood, Davis P.Leatherwood, Grady C. Lisle, and Henley W. Lisle.

She is also survived by her mother, Janice D. Pate; her mother-in-law, Faye P. Lisle; her sister,Suzanne P. Parker and Ken; her brother, Perry E. Pate Jr. and his wife, Tracy; her brother-in-law, Timothy W. Lisle and his wife, Donna; and many loving nieces and nephews.

The Lisle family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Columbus Hospice, especially nurses Angel and Kaitlyn, for the compassion, comfort, and loving care they provided to Sabra and her family during their time of greatest need.Although her family’s hearts are broken, they find comfort in knowing that Sabra’s faith has been made visible. The love she gave, the strength she modeled, and the memories she created will remain with them always.
