Sally Wynn Taft, 69, of Hamilton, Georgia passed away peacefully Friday, November 21, 2025. Sally was born in Columbus, Georgia and was raised in Hamilton, graduating from Tri-County Academy in 1973.
After high school, Sally worked for pediatricians Dr. Blanchard and Dr. Alvarez. She then decided to become a homemaker when her daughter was born. A few years later, she poured her energy into helping her husband, David, build, and grow their construction business, all while creating a warm, welcoming home. She had a gift for hospitality and loved all aspects of decorating and entertaining. She adored the little joys of life too: a cold Coke, a Dairy Queen sundae, and the company of the people she loved most.
She faced many health challenges in her later years, and the loss of her beloved husband weighed heavily on her ever since his passing 14 years ago. Yet even through hardship, she held onto the Lord she loved, trusting in his comfort and ultimately finding rest in his promises.
Sally was born to the late William R. and Rebecca B. Wynn, and was the beloved wife of David Carl Taft for 34 years. She is survived by her daughter, Sara, son-in-law Brandon, and grandchildren, Brett and Audrey. Other survivors include her brother Billy (Carole), sister Robin (Ken) and brother Charles (Kelly); numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. A private funeral service will be held at Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
