Sen Thi Hannigan, 75, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 in Columbus, GA.
A time of gathering, remembrance and celebration of her life will be held Saturday, January 26, 2019 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. A visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
She was born on in Quang Tri, Vietnam to Bi Phan and Hien Thi Tran. She married Martin Hannigan and together they raised their sons, Dung, Daniel and David. Sen was a retired career civil servant, working for the US Army in Frankfurt, Germany. She oversaw dining facilities where she was known to everyone as "Mama" because of her love for people and especially the soldiers. That caring and passion followed her throughout life, as everyone tended to call her Mama.
She was preceded by her parents, 3 brothers and 5 sister, and her beloved son, Daniel.
Survivors include her husband and 2 sons, Dung (Hang) and David (Daniel) and her granddaughter, Sophia and 2 sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for Memorial donations to be made in Sen's honor to Piedmont Hospital, Atlanta, GA Transplant Ward.
