Sfc John S. (Ret.) Eagle

SFC (Ret.) John S. Eagle, 82, of Columbus passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at his residence.
A Mass of Christian burial with military honors with internment to follow at Ft. Benning, GA is planned but the date has yet to be determined according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus.
SFC. Eagle was born November 14, 1933 in Chester, PA, John's family then moved to St. Petersburg, FL where he spent the remainder of his youth. John joined the US Army in 1950, serving during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After retiring from the Army in 1975, he went to work for the Department of Defense as a civilian and retired again in 1999.
John is survived by his six children: Loretto Klug, Joel Eagle, Larry Eagle, Lyn Garrison, Chris Eagle, Jay Eagle and 15 grandchildren.
