SFC (Ret.) Jack G. Hallman, 66, of Midland, GA died Friday, June 23, 2017 in Columbus, GA.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church 1416 N. Church St. Blakely, GA with Rev. Anthony Yarbrough officiating. Interment will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Blakely, GA. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 and also Saturday from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at the church in Blakely, GA.
SFC (Ret.) Hallman was born December 22, 1950 in Blakely, GA son of the late Oscar and Katherine Spradley Hallman. He retired from the U.S. Army as Sergeant First Class. He later worked in Maintenance for several Harris County Schools and also was a Manager at the Kmart Garden Shop. SFC (Ret.) Hallman was a member of Evergreen Methodist Church where he served as a Deacon. He loved his family, fishing, golf, and reading the Bible.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Juliette Hallman of Midland, GA, children, Lendra Coleman of Mojave, CA, Ophelia Coleman of Columbus, GA, Michael Hallman of Dothan, AL, Gerard Coleman of Aurora, CO and Leanders Coleman (Kristen) of Marietta, GA, brother, Donald Hallman of Warner Robins, GA, sister, Rev. Ruby Hallman, Ellen Gilbert, Linda and Joseph Lee all of Blakely, GA, Frankie Codie of Ft. Myers, FL and Alice of New Jersey, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Easter Seals 2515 Double Churches Rd. Columbus, GA 31909.
