SFC (Ret.) Jeffers Lynn Smith, 66, of Columbus, GA died Monday, September 16, 2019 at Jack Hughston Hospital in Phenix City, AL.
SFC (Ret.) Smith was born December 28, 1952 in Milwaukee, WI son of the late James Harvey Smith, Sr. and Ina Mae Quinn. He retired as Sergeant First Class in the U.S. Army have served 27 years. He worked as a Food Service Manager for L & S Services. SFC (Ret.) Smith loved golfing and fishing.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Smith and brother, Thomas Carter Smith.
Survivors include his wife, Annette Smith of Columbus, GA, daughter, Stacy Marie Smith of Milwaukee, WI and Alake Robinson of Columbus, GA, brothers, James Harvey Smith of Columbia, SC, Johnnie Williams Smith, Robert Louis Smith and Allen Davis Smith all of Milwaukee, WI and Dewayne Anthony Smith of Colorado, two grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to the VFW of Columbus 1824 Victory Dr. Columbus, GA 31901.
