"Together again in eternity"

Sheila Nolin, a beloved figure in her community and a devoted family member, passed away on July 5, 2025, in Columbus, Georgia, just shy of her 74th birthday. She was born on July 7, 1951, in Columbus to the late Walder Lee Ledford Sr. and Flora Estelle Ledford. A celebration of life service will be scheduled at a later date. According to Mcmullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907

For over 30 years, Sheila dedicated her life to serving the children of Muscogee County Schools as a bus driver. Her warm smile and caring demeanor made her not just a driver, but a trusted friend to the students and families she transported each day. Sheila’s commitment to her role demonstrated her genuine love for the community, leaving an indelible mark on many lives.

A proud member of Glenn Anthony Baptist Church, Sheila found solace and strength in her faith, continuing to nurture relationships with her fellow parishioners. She cherished her family above all else, often taking joy in creating special moments together. Her home was filled with laughter, love, and her delightful infatuation for dolphins, reflected in the many dolphin souvenirs she collected over the years.

Sheila was married for over 50 years to her late husband, Michael Wayne Nolin. Their partnership was a testament to enduring love and shared life, even through the trials of loss. Together, they built a family that will forever carry on their legacy.

She is survived by three loving children, Phillip Nolin, Kaycee Nolin Scott, and Rhonda Patterson, who will continue to honor her memory. Her daughter-in-law, Lisa Nolin, along with her nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, one brother, Walder Lee Ledford Jr. and one sister, Tracy Moore will carry forth the values and affection that Sheila instilled in each of them.

Sheila reunited with loved ones who preceded her, including her husband Michael, father Walder, mother Flora, and granddaughter Amanda Singletary. Though she leaves this earthly realm, the love she shared transcends time, and her spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched.

As we remember Sheila Nolin, let us celebrate a life filled with compassion, dedication, and an unwavering love for her family and community. May her memory be a guiding light and continue to inspire us in the days to come.
