Shirley Kay Elliott, 63, of Ellerslie, GA died Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, May 19, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Dan Rogers officiating. Interment will follow at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Elliott was born October 12, 1952 in Fayetteville, NC daughter of the late George Allen and Eleanor Beatrice Moore Allen. She worked as an Administration Clerk of Columbus State Court Solicitors General Office and was a member of Sanderlar Baptist Church.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and "Nanny" to 6 wonderful grandchildren.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Wayne Allen and step-brother, Bobby Ammons.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Wayne Elliott of Ellerslie, GA, sons, Daron Wayne Elliott (Tiffiany) of Hamilton, GA and Christopher Matthew Allen Elliott (Toni) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Chandler, Emma, Kali, Dalton, Kaleb and Kinsley, several nieces and nephews, and her pet dog named Jack the Jack Russell of 16 years.
