Wayne Waller, born Terry Wayne Waller on September 10, 1954, passed away on October 27, 2026.

Wayne will be remembered as a laid-back and loving man whose greatest joys were found in the people and pastimes he treasured most. He had been married to his beloved wife, Elaine Waller, since 1977, sharing a lasting bond built over many years together. He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs, and he had a true passion for deep sea fishing. That love of fishing even took him to Costa Rica on a memorable excursion, a reflection of the enthusiasm he brought to the things he loved.

Above all, Wayne was a devoted “Papa” to his three wonderful grandchildren, a role that brought him deep happiness and pride. His family will remember the steady presence he gave, the easygoing spirit he carried, and the love he shared so naturally.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine Waller; his sons, Matthew Waller and his wife, Ashley, and Adam Waller; his grandchildren, Rebecca Waller, Benjamin Waller, and Paisley Waller; and his brothers, Purdy Perry “Pete” Waller and his wife, Ann, and Rodney Fontaine and his wife, Candi. Wayne also leaves behind numerous cherished friends and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Purdy Waller, and his mother, Betty Jo Harrigan.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on October 30, 2026, at Parkhill Cemetery, 4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, Georgia 31907. Arrangements are entrusted to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory at 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
