Tevin Hudson

Tevin Keyonte Hudson, 34 of Cataula, GA passed away Wednesday May 28, at his residence with his loving family by his side.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at The Church in the County. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 PM, Friday, June 6, 2025 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at The Church in the County Cemetery following the service.

Tevin was born September 13, 1990 to the late Eric Gilliam and LaShaun Hudson in Columbus, GA. He was a member of the Church in the County in Cataula, Ga, where he was better known as “Sheriff Tev”. You could find him each week assisting with the Children's Sunday School Program along with County Life & Amplify on Wednesday nights. Tevin graduated from Harris County High School, Class of 2010, in Hamilton, Ga. As a child Tevin loved playing soccer and being outdoors. As he grew older he found a new love for dirt bikes and 4 wheelers where he would race around his grandma’s field.

Tevin was an animal whisperer with a strong passion for horses and a great love for Alabama football. Tevin LOVED life and lived each day to the fullest, no matter how bad he felt. He LOVED his church family. He will forever be remembered as a son, a brother, a friend, but most importantly a follower of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father Eric Gilliam, great grandfather William Hightower, great grandmother Ethel Rose Hightower, grandfather Allen Hudson and great aunt Annie Mae Duncan.

Survivors include his mother, LaShaun Hudson of Cataula, GA, grandmother: Mary Hudson also of Cataula, GA, brothers: DiQuan Roberts, Jamale Roberts both of Marietta, GA and Tre’von Hudson of Calhoun, GA. uncle: Allen Hudson (Tanya) of Las Vegas, NV and cousin, Nayla Hudson also of Las Vegas, NV. and a host of cousins, friends and family who will forever cherish him.
