Thelma F. Bunch, 84, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Columbus Hospice House.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Lynn Meadows-White and Rev. Howard White. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, June 18, 2021 at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at 12:30 PM at Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Draneville, GA following the service.
Thelma was born May 15, 1937 in Buena Vista, GA to the late Arthur Averette Powell, Sr. and Nannie Mae Wells Powell. She loved her church and the church family at Pierce Chapel United Methodist Church. She was very involved with the church, she taught Sunday School, loved United Methodist Women’s group which she was the past president of and she was also the bookkeeper. Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Edward Bunch.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Lynn Ladd (Christopher) of Blythewood, SC, grandchildren, Brandon Wyatt, Clay Wyatt, Chloe Ladd all of Blythewood, SC, siblings, Fannie Benford of Buena Vista, GA, Martha Austin of Buena Vista, GA, Arthur “Buddy” Powell, Jr. of Buena Vista, GA and Darlene Allen of Columbus, GA.
