Todd Owen Wood

Todd Owen Wood, 82, of Hamilton, Georgia died Wednesday April, 30, 2025 at his residence.
A celebration of Todd's life will be held 2:00 pm Monday, May 5, 2025 at St. Luke Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907.
Told was born July 20, 1942 in Eufaula, Ala, Son of the late William Herbert Wood and Nancy Benton Wood. He Graduated from Columbus High School in 1960 and Columbus College in 1964. He retired as Vice President of Royal Crown Bottling Company and was the owner of the Adjustment Agency in Lanett, AL.
Todd spent most of his time in Columbus and in Harris County on Lake Harding. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Columbus and during that time received the Paul Harris Fellow Award in 1991. During his career w/ Royal Crown Cola he served as President of the Georgia Soft Drink Association and the Alabama Soft Drink Association. He was a member of St. Luke church, served on the Boys Club board and was active in other civic organizations.
Todd loved hunting, fishing and baseball. He was proud to be a member of the Peach League Lions when they won the Columbus Little League championship in 1953. One of his favorite pastimes was watching the Atlanta Braves and Auburn Football.
Todd spent the last 40 years living on Lake Harding. He loved lake life, spending time with his family and friends and cheering on his grandchildren.
Todd is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jean McKay Wood of Hamilton, GA, children, Melanie Flowers (Bob) of Tallahassee, Fl, Todd Martin “Marty” Wood (Leslie) of Columbus, GA, Bryan Heath Teaster (Windy) of Newnan, GA, Brooke Teaster Schwoebel of Ellerslie, GA, siblings, John Wood (Sis) of Columbus, GA, Jane O’Steen (Steve) of Phenix City, AL, grandchildren, Robert “Buck” P. Flowers, Jr., Claire Sasser Flowers (Mallory) Lucie Benton Flowers, Todd Martin Wood, Jr., Mallory Wood Lang (Matthew), William Scott Wood, Bryan Heath “Cotton” Teaster, II, Windy Belle Teaster, Robert Thomas Schwoebel, Jr., Olivia Brooke Schwoebel and great-grandchild, Robert Powell Flowers III.
