Trevor Sterling Whittington

Trevor Sterling Whittington, 31, of Nacogdoches, TX passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, February 6, 2026 in the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Earnestine Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held following the service at Parkhill Cemetery.

Trevor was born March 15, 1994 in Columbus, GA son of Steven Starling Whittington and Barré Bentley Whittington. He graduated from Northside High School in 2012 and from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor’s degree in 2016. After graduating from UGA, Trevor began working for Tyson Foods where he was a Safety Manager for 10 years. His job at Tyson Foods required Trevor to travel a lot, which just so happened to be one if his passions. Trevor enjoyed traveling to music festivals and concerts and loved good food. He loved God and loved to worship, and would find a Church to do so in any city he was in. Trevor was a bright light in any room he walked into.

Trevor was preceded in death by his grandparents, James W Whittington, Eleanor Whittington, Hugh Bo Bentley, and Charlotte Bentley.

Survivors include his parents, Steven Starling Whittington, Barré Whittington; brother, Richmond Whittington; aunt, Dana Thurston (James) of Murfreesboro, TN; uncle, Jimmy Whittington (Ann) of Waverly Hall, GA; cousins, Sarah Joseph (Samuel) of Murfreesboro, TN, Bo Ayon (Jesus) of Murfreesboro, TN, Leslie Weaver (Justin) of Powder Springs, GA, and Paula Watley (Tommy) of Cataula, GA.
