Vickie King Stephenson, 69, of Columbus, GA, passed away on October 25, 2025. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Stephenson was born on December 14, 1955, in Birmingham, AL, to James Lanier King and Opal Marthaleen Arnett King. She was a loving mother to her three boys and cherished her family and siblings deeply. Vickie was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. George F. Stephenson, her father, Lanier King, and her brother, James Buel King.
Before dedicating her life to her family, Vickie enjoyed a rewarding career as a dental hygienist, working diligently to support her husband's education in chiropractic school. She was known for her caring nature, kindness, and love of travel. She especially enjoyed exploring the mountains and beach, looking forward to her annual trips with her family.
Vickie is survived by her sons, Brandon, Ryan (Pamela), and Aaron Stephenson (Che-Na); her mother, Opal King; her siblings, Mike (Joy), Debbie, Randy (Beth), Lanny, and Tim King (Renee); and her four grandchildren: Gunnar, Rhys, Eden, and Cillian.
Vickie will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and the love she shared with all who knew her.
