Vivian Horne Hobby, 89, of Columbus, GA died Sunday, May 19, 2019 at her home.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mrs. Hobby was born November 29, 1929 in Atlanta, GA daughter of the late Herman Homer Horne and Vivian Gates Horne. She graduated from Columbus High School and was a homemaker.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her dogs, Gigi and Buddy. Mrs. Hobby also loved to travel and loved music.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnson Bass Hobby, Sr. and daughter, Jan McClain.
Survivors include her son, Johnny Hobby (Bonnie) of Panama City, FL, daughters, Jenny Bishop (Hoppy) of Birmingham, AL, Bitsy Hobby of Columbus, GA, brother, Herman Horne and sisters, Patricia Horne and Becky Davis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital www.stjude.org.
