Walter Fowler
January 7, 1938 — November 18, 2017
Dr. Walter Cason Fowler, 79, of Fortson, GA passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Columbus Hospice House. A graduate of Jordan Vocational High School ('56) and Palmer College of Chiropractic ('65), Dr. Fowler operated the Fowler Chiropractic Clinic in Columbus, GA from 1966-2007.
Dr. Fowler was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Brown Fowler and Nellie Margueritte Cason, and his wife, Martha Ann Fowler. He is survived by a daughter, Jill Fowler Merritt (Dale); a son, Lt Col Eric S. Fowler (Teresa); a stepson, Jeff Palmer (Cristina); and grandchildren, Mick, Eden, Chloe, Savannah, Jackson, Brooklynn, and Sabrina.
He was a member of Beallwood Baptist Church and the Caleb's Crew senior social group.
Interment services will be held graveside at 11:00am on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Parkhill Cemetery (4161 Macon Rd, Columbus, GA). The family will receive friends for visitation between 2:00-4:00pm on Friday, December 8 at McMullen Funeral Home (3874 Gentian Blvd., Columbus, GA).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Walter's memory to Columbus Hospice of Georgia & Alabama.
