Wendelyn “Wendy” Tyler, 58, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, October 30, 2025, at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Wendy was born on March 11, 1967 in Columbus, Georgia to Wendell Bolin and Linda Sue Murphy. Wendy graduated from Columbus High School and carried the spirit of her hometown throughout her life. For ten years, she dedicated her career to helping others as a Radiation Therapist, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to her profession and the well-being of her patients. Her compassionate nature and professional skill left a lasting impact on many lives within the community. She was married to her beloved husband, William Tyler, for 32 wonderful years, building a life filled with joy, laughter, and precious moments together.
She was a proud mother of three children—Hannah, Haden, and Hadlie Tyler—whom she loved fiercely and guided with warmth and wisdom. Wendy found immense joy in spending time with her family, often creating lasting memories during gatherings and celebrations. She is also survived by her father, Wendell Bolin, her mother, Linda Sue Murphy, and her brother, Brian Bolin. In addition to her immediate family, Wendy leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends, all of whom will remember her for her kindness, strength, and loving spirit.
