William "Lamar" Amerson, 72, of Columbus, GA died Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Judy Hay officiating. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
Lamar was born November 6, 1946 in Columbus, GA son of the late William Lee Amerson and Evelyn Lott Amerson. He worked at Columbus Body Shop and loved to fish, work word-searches, and wood working. He was an outdoorsman and loved his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Brenda Tolbert Amerson, daughter, Brenda Amerson, brother, Wayne Amerson all of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, DiAnna Fleming, Sarah Fleming and Hannah Riley all of Columbus, GA, and nieces, Lynn Amerson, Lisa Amerson and Tiffany Amerson all of Columbus, GA.
