William F. "Bill" Murphree, 79, of Cataula, GA passed away at his home with his wife of 57 years on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
Bill was born on September 1, 1937 in Cuero, TX son of Charles and Elizabeth Murphree. Bill had a Master's Degree from Texas State University. He was a teacher, counselor, and principal in Victoria, TX, principal in Bay City, TX, and then his first love as an educator (classroom teacher) in Columbus, GA.
He was a fan of the University of Texas Longhorns and the Atlanta Braves. He was very much loved by his family, friends and students.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Sherry "Jerrie" Murphree, daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Steve Johnson, and grandson, Cameron Johnson.
