Willis "Bill" Raymond Gurley, 79, of Buena Vista, GA died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at St. Francis Hospital.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM EST Friday, April 5, 2019 at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
Mr. Gurley was born May 23, 1939 in Buncombe, IL son of Velma Simmons Robinson of Marion, IL and the late Cecil A. Gurley. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and later worked as a painter.
Other than his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Gurley, brother, Joe Gurley, daughter, Lesa Holder and grandson, Garry Ward.
Survivors other than his mother include his sister, Brenda Lazorchak (Randy) of Johnston City, IL, brothers, Kenneth Gurley of Green Bay, WI and Don Gurley (Cheryl) of Springfield, IL, grandchild, Brandy Moffett, great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Briana and Bradley, numerous nieces and nephews, and his loyal and devoted friend, Jim Rush of Buena Vista, GA.
