Annette Tate Obituary

Annette Nobles Tate, 91, of Columbus, GA died Monday, January 16, 2017 at Columbus Hospice House.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, January 19, 2017 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Rev. Tony Crosby officiating. A private family interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Tate was born December 20, 1925 in Blakely, GA daughter of the late D.W. Nobles and Susie Chapman Nobles. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Tate was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and a long-time member at the YMCA. She was very active and loved to garden, cook, and her family was very important to her. She was also an avid Braves fan.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Tate, granddaughter, Brandi Redmond, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Redmond (John) of Midland, GA and Susan Harden (Larry) of Columbus, GA, grandchildren, Doug Redmond of Carlsbad, NM, Christie Miller (Pete) of Cataula, GA and Scott Harden (Holly) of Columbus, GA, and great grandchildren, Darian Redmond of Columbus, GA, Jackson Redmond, Ansley Redmond, Amy Miller, Dylan Hedden, Skyler Hedden, Madison Miller all of Cataula, GA, and Blade Harden of Columbus, GA.

Flowers will be accepted but those so desiring may make memorial contributions to Columbus Hospice 7020 Moon Rd. Columbus, GA 31909 www.columbushospice.com, Epworth United Methodist Church 2400 Devonshire Dr. Columbus, GA 31904 or to your favorite charity.
