Arthur “Butch” Fripp, Jr.

Arthur “Butch” Fripp, Jr., 70, of Omaha, GA died Saturday, June 18, 2022 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 24, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Troy Fripp, Rev. Steven Fripp and Rev. Robert Rhodes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM Thursday, June 23, 2022 at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery following the service.

Arthur was born December 7, 1951 to Joyce McLendon Fripp and the late Arthur R. Fripp, Sr.  He worked in the Stewart County Department of Maintenance and was a member of Cottonton Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and love to turkey hunt. He was a big Alabama Fan “Roll Tide but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce McLendon Fripp of Omaha, GA, wife of 18 years, Jannie Atkinson Fripp of Omaha, GA, daughter, Samantha Mathis (Tyler) of Eufaula, AL, son, Wayne Morrow (Brenda) of Toney, AL, daughter, Tara Paul (Che’) of Phenix City, AL, brother, Claude Gregory Fripp of Omaha, GA, grandchildren, Alexis Mathis of Eufaula, AL, Dagan Breakfield (Morgan) of Athens, AL, Keziah McCarley (Tyler) of Athens, AL, Jade Paul of Phenix City, AL, Che’ Paul, Jr. of Phenix City, AL, great-grandson, Cooper Breakfield, of Athens, AL and his hunting friend, Hank Swanson, of Ohawa, TN.
