Billy White Obituary

Billy Max White, a treasured soul whose laughter and wisdom brightened the lives of those around him, passed away peacefully from natural causes on April 11, 2024, in Columbus, GA. Born in Dothan, AL, on August 13, 1946, Billy's journey through life was marked by his intelligence, humor, and the wise counsel he offered to all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 17, 2024 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.

Billy's formative years were spent in the heart of Alabama, where he developed a love for the outdoors and an appetite for knowledge. After graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in Chemical Engineering, he furthered his education at McNeese State University, where he earned a Master's Degree. His academic excellence laid a robust foundation for a career characterized by leadership and innovation.

Professionally, Billy was a man of vision and purpose. He served as the Managing Director for PPG Industries in Pittsburgh, PA, where he left an indelible mark on the industry. His strategic acumen was further recognized during his tenure as Director of Strategic Initiatives at GATX in Chicago, IL. Billy's entrepreneurial spirit shone brightly as the owner of River Signs, LLC in Columbus, GA, where he combined his passion for creation with his business savvy. His professional achievements were a testament to his intelligence and work ethic.

Billy's life was enriched by his loving family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Naruemol White, and their two sons, Morgan C. White and Mason C. White. His brother, James Allen White, and sister, Deborah Sue White, will fondly remember Billy's humor and guidance. His aunt, Ann Winchester, along with several nieces and nephews, will miss the light of his presence in their family gatherings.

Billy's interests were as diverse as his talents. An avid fisherman, he often spoke of the serenity found at the water's edge. His love for golf and tennis was matched only by the joy he took in a well-tended garden. These pastimes were not mere hobbies but reflections of a man who appreciated life's simple pleasures and the beauty of nature.

Those who knew Billy would describe him as funny, intelligent, and wise. His quick wit could effortlessly turn a room of strangers into a gathering of friends. His intelligence was not just academic, but practical, always applied with a touch of his innate wisdom. Billy's laughter was a gift, his advice a treasure, and his company a comfort to all.

As we say farewell to Billy Max White, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and passion. We honor a man who was not only accomplished in his career but also rich in the relationships he nurtured. Billy's legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him, and his memory will be cherished in the hearts of his loved ones forever.
