Cheryl Anthony Obituary
Cheryl Anthony, 62, of Columbus, GA, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at her residence.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with Pastor Junior White officiating. Interment will be held at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ms. Anthony was born March 30, 1954 in Columbus, GA, daughter of the late Julian Titus Anthony and Mary Self Anthony. She grew up on a dairy farm owned by her parents and grandparents, Alvis and Susie Anthony.
She worked in their business, Anthony's Service Station, later known as AP (Anthony's Petroleum) located at Macon and Flat Rock Roads in Columbus, Georgia. She worked for TSYS, Total Systems Service, for 25 years, retiring as a Management Information Analyst SR, in the Output Services Department.
It was her heart's desire for all her family, extended family, friends and coworkers to be "SAVED" by accepting the free gift of Salvation through her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Titus Anthony, who died at age 18 months and great-grandson, Tyson Matthew Griggs who died at age 3 months.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheree Hall and her husband, James; three grandchildren, Corey Brewer, Candace Hughes, Chelsey Griggs and her husband, Matt; three great-grandchildren, Riley Brewer, Zoey Brewer and Grayson Griggs; her brothers, Larry Anthony of Columbus, GA, Lamar Anthony (Lynda), Jerry Anthony (Edna) all of Americus, GA and Doug Anthony of Columbus, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
