Deborah "Debbie" Lynn (Pennington) Khoury

Deborah “Debbie” Lynn (Pennington) Khoury, beloved wife of Sam Khoury, died peacefully at home on January 4, 2022.
Services will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, January 8, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church. A rosary will be held 6:00 PM Friday, January 7, 2022 in the chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907, with a visitation following the rosary until 8:00 PM.
Debbie was born on December 27, 1972 at Patrick Air Force Base, FL to James Howard and Rebecca (Brown) Pennington. She was a proud graduate of Columbus High School and Columbus Technical College, graduating as the top student.
Love overflows for Debbie, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister. While her time on earth was short, she filled it with love for her family and home. Debbie advocated passionately for childhood cancer and children battling OMS-Opsoclonus Myoclonus Syndrome. She spent years raising awareness for this rare autoimmune disorder and making a difference in the lives of so many children and their families fighting OMS.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Sam, and children Ryan, Samantha, and Connor. In addition, she is survived by her mother, Rebecca Pennington; her sisters, Kristine (Mark) Mitchell, Elizabeth Pennington, and Laurie (Jonas) Billiot; and her aunt, Helen Pennington Long. She is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Debbie was an angel on Earth and now flies in the heavens.
