Donald "Don" Julius Farley

Donald “Don” Julius Farley, 61 of Columbus, Georgia died Monday May 31, 2021 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, Georgia 31907.

Don was born September 16, 1959 in Columbus, Georgia to the late Julius Jefferson Farley and Celia Hester Farley-Hudnall. Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his father and mother in-law Godwin Owen and Mary Edna Long.

Don was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan and could often be found wearing his signature red pullover cheering on the Dawgs with his children. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends tailgating, watching the Atlanta Braves, relaxing at Lake Harding, and finding ways to entertain his grand-dog Noodles. Wherever Don was at any given time, you could expect Journey's greatest hits to be played on repeat. Don was a loving husband and proud father who will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years Nicole Long Farley, daughter; Carson Merchant (Bill) of Columbus, GA., son; Cooper Farley of Columbus, GA., brother; Steve Farley (Cindy) of Atlanta, GA., sisters-in-law; Fonda Carter (Mark) of Phenix City, AL., Leslie Echols of Birmingham, AL., and brother-in-law; Raymond Long (Beth) of Auburn, AL., and many beloved nieces and nephews.
