George Saxon Obituary
George Rodney Saxon, 69, of Upatoi, GA transitioned peacefully with his loving wife, sister and other friend surrounding his bed on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Columbus Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Chapel of McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907 with the Rev. Edwin Lebron Matthews officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Saxon was born December 31, 1949 in Columbus, GA to the late Tallie and Eunice Saxon. He was a very devoted Contractor Supervisor with the Chick-Fil-A corporation for 34 years.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gilda Williams and brother, Elden Saxon.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his very devoted wife, Sun Saxon, sister, Sherry Walls (Robert) of Stockbridge, GA, nephew, Shawn Walls (Evelin) and Steven Williams (Denise), nephew, Soon Ki, and a host of family and friends.
